Finding a valuable and useful internship can be a critical step in preparing for your future career. Industry knowledge and job experience are both vital factors employers will look for from applicants. Seed has always been blessed to work with talented students, creatives and interns looking to grow their CVs and experience life in a creative agency. None more so than Taylor Crosby, who interned with us as part of the graduate champions scheme with De Montfort University.

Taylor joined Seed as she was looking to learn the ins and outs of digital media communications and experience a hands-on role within the creative industry. We enabled Taylor to work in a variety of roles based around every aspect of social media and digital communications. One of her main roles was to raise the profile of Seed, by designing and implementing various social media campaigns. ‘#ThisWeekInTheCQ’ was a campaign created by Taylor to promote the activity in Leicester’s exciting and diverse cultural quarter.

Campaigns and activities like this provide a great opportunity to build up your CV. Gain solid examples of work to show off to future employers and clients. Showing that she could effectively develop a campaign from concept to delivery, Taylor recently secured a role as a multimedia and communications officer for De Montfort University.

We met up with Taylor to chat about how her time at Seed impacted her career and what advice she has for current students thinking about interning. Watch it here!
